Return & Refunds Policy

1. General

At The WH Giles Archive, we take care to ensure that all items are accurately described, carefully inspected and securely packaged prior to dispatch.

Unless otherwise stated below, all sales are subject to the consumer rights and protections provided under applicable Irish and European Union consumer law.
 

2. Right to Cancel

Where you are purchasing as a consumer through our website, you generally have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without providing a reason.

If you wish to exercise this right, you must notify us within the applicable 14-day period. Following notification, the goods must be returned to us without undue delay and, in any event, within 14 days of notifying us of your decision to cancel.

Unless otherwise required by law, the direct cost of returning goods following a change-of-mind cancellation will be the responsibility of the customer.

Returned goods should be handled with reasonable care and should be returned in an appropriate condition. We reserve the right to take account of any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functionality of the goods.
 

3. Refunds

Where a valid cancellation is made under the statutory right of withdrawal, we will process the refund in accordance with applicable Irish and EU consumer law. Refunds will generally be made using the original payment method.

We may withhold the refund until the goods have been returned to us or until you provide evidence that the goods have been returned, whichever occurs first.
 

4. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

If an item arrives damaged, is faulty, does not correspond with its description, or you have received an incorrect item, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after delivery and provide details of the issue, together with photographs where appropriate.

Where a product is defective or does not conform to the contract, you may have rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund in accordance with applicable Irish consumer law.
 

5. Items That Cannot Be Returned

We may only exclude the statutory right of cancellation where a specific legal exemption applies. Any such exemption will be identified in the relevant product description or at the point of purchase where applicable.

Nothing in this Returns & Refunds Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or limit any statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Irish or European Union law.
